Mind Over the Mandela Effect: Anchor Memories

Go back to how you felt when you first fell down Mandela Effect rabbit hole. Remember how certain you were about the changes you resonated with? Remember how everything in your gut told you that this change is, what is commonly referred to as, an “anchor memory”? These were the changes that you could hang your hat on. When you’re in grade school you are tested, not to determine your level of intelligence necessarily, but to determine your ability to recall. You are graded on how well you can remember formulas and how to use them, the capitals of states, the names of presidents, historical events, etc. This same grading continues on into college. Is there a bias in Mandela Effect reporting? Does it matter?

Unimundi, a youtuber that is known for uploading daily videos of occurrences he suggests are in fact mandela effects has recently released a warning video to all of those that are effected. He was highly disturbed at the lack of attention being given to the Mona Lisa changes and encourages other prominent youtubers to address these changes. The Night I Learned about the Mandela Effect

It was very late one night in the summer of 2016, I was at home browsing random Facebook posts and YouTube videos, a bad habit when there’s nothing of interest to do, when I came upon a post that said something like, “Is it Berenstein or Berenstain Bears? Is it a Mandela Effect?”. I had no idea what the Mandela Effect was or if this post was a hoax. I laughed and said to myself “Berenstein, duh”, but I was curious so I clicked and watched the video. That one decision, that night, that video, changed my entire world. I watched it to completion, and I sat there, in the dark, staring at my bright computer screen for a good long moment in disbelief of what I had seen. My body stiffened, my heart pounded heavily in my chest as the first thoughts I could put togethe...
